Kisseh Shel Eliahu G'mach

kisseh.jpgIt is customary at a Brit to set aside a chair for Eliyahu (Elijah the Prophet). Due to his zeal in upholding this great Mitzvah, G‑d promised him that he would be present at every Brit. We are glad to provide our traditional chair for your son’s Bris Mila free of charge.

We do not charge for the use of this chair, but for practical reasons we require that it be moved by professional movers, who do have a fee. We would of course welcome a donation too.

As of this time we have arrangements with Olympic Relocation Inc., who will bring the chair, set it up, wait for the duration of the bris and then take it away.

Moving charges are $230.00 to Zone A., meaning the Jewish Neighborhoods on the North Side of the city of Chicago and the north Suburbs. Moving charges are $280.00 to Zone B., meaning the suburbs further North and West and also the city of Chicago. These fees are charged by the moving company and assume that the moving staff will be on site for less than two hours.
