JLI: Curious Tales Of The Talmud

Everyone loves a good story, not just little kids. Knowing this, the sages of the Talmud used stories to encode messages about life that are far too deep and profound to communicate directly. The new course from the Jewish Learning Institute decodes some of these extraordinary Talmudic mysteries to uncover layer within layer of insight into the nature of life, the universe, G‑d, and man. This course meets for six sessions, beginning April 25. You can choose Thursday mornings, Thursday evenings or Sunday mornings. To registerclick here .

The Great Jewish Family Festival

The Great Jewish Family Festival is back! This year Lag B’Omer occurs on April 28. Join us and the entire Chicagoland Jewish community at Old Orchard Shopping Center, for an afternoon and evening of excitement and fun. This year the event will also include a circus, a fun parade with a new twist, and many other exciting innovations. One all-inclusive wristband covers food, attractions, and entertainment from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Jewish Youth House Update

JLI TEENS – WHAT DO YOU STAND FOR?   
The current course of JLI Teens is coming to an end! We will meet this Monday to discuss some riveting topics, including "Can individuals solve global problems?," “Is the world on the path to true peace?” and more. JLI Teens meets on Monday night, 7:00 PM at the Mooz. Dinner is served.

Jewish Youth Clubs   
The girls will meet Wednesday 5:00 - 6:30 pm at the Mooz.   
The boys will meet Thursday 5:00 - 6:30 pm at the Mooz.

There will be a girls Kiddush this Shabbos in the Mooz, after davening.

Timely Reminders

This Shabbos is Twenty-Five Days for Sefiras Ha’Omer.

This Wednesday is Pesach Sheini. On this day, people who were unable to bring the Korban Pesach on Erev Pesach had the opportunity to bring the Korban. We do not say Tachnun on Sunday. It is customary to eat Matzah on Pesach Sheini. You can read more here.
