Jewish Art Calendar For 5774

The Jewish Art Calendar which we produce each year is most people’s favorite calendar. It is informative, pleasing to the eye, and has huge boxes to write in reminders for each day. You can place an ad or have any special dates noted, such as birthdays, anniversaries, yahrzeits, etc., in the Jewish Art Calendar for the coming year. The layout is being designed right now, and will be sent to the printer in just a few weeks. For more information, or to place your ads and dates, please contact us.

Women to New York

Mrs. Raices is leading a group of women to New York to visit and experience the Ohel and 770. The trip will take place on July 23 and 24. Any women who would like to join the group are encouraged to speak to Mrs. Raices.

Ultimate Jewish Retreat

This summer, Rabbi Yochanan and Yona will be joining the National Jewish Retreat for its eighth annual year. This year, the retreat will take place in lovely Alexandria, VA .

This is an expertly planned luxury getaway of Jewish wellness and spirituality, with every imaginable physical amenity and a wealth of Jewish learning from a diverse group of presenters, and on a giant range of topics.

With 1-day, 3-day, or 5-day options, as well as an integrated Women’s Program, and Medical Ethics Conference, this retreat really does offer it all.

To find out more, visit www.JRetreat.com, or for more information, or to speak to someone who has enjoyed this amazing retreat first-hand, contact Yona Posner.

New Book: Jewish Women’s Book Club

Here’s the new book for Jewish Women’s Book Club: Forever My Jerusalem, by Puah Shteiner.

This is a fascinating, first-hand account of the fall and evacuation of the Jewish Quarter of Jerusalem, as witnessed through the eyes of a young girl living there in 1948, complete with maps and photos.

The book is available for purchase here.

“Cliff Notes”

Last Shabbos, due to time considerations I only gave the “cliff notes” version of the talk before Musaf. I mentioned a story with the Rebbe and Rabbi Dr. Tzvi Hersh Weinreb, Executive Vice President Emeritus of the OU. Here are links to that story. The video of him sharing his experience is here. In text form, the interview is here.
