Sefer Torah Celebration Only One Week Away!

The completion and dedication of the new Sefer Torah is only a week away, next Sunday, August 11. The Torah is sponsored by Mrs. Marge Fettman, in memory of her late parents, parents-in-law and husband. You can read more about this special Torah here and here.

Every Jew should participate in the Mitzvah of writing of a Torah Scroll, which is the last mitzvah mentioned in the Torah. Here is your opportunity to take part! Timely Reminders

This Shabbos we bless the coming Hebrew month. We will recite the entire Tehillim communally Shabbos morning beginning at 7:30 a.m. Please join us. Refreshments will be served.

The Molad of Chodesh Elul will be Tuesday, 10:02 a.m. and 1 Chelek

The beginning of the new Hebrew month of Elul will be Tuesday and Wednesday. On Tuesday we begin saying "L'Dovid" (Sidur p. 76, 115, 220, 267, Old Sidur p. 81) in Shacharis and Mincha, and practice blowing Shofar. On Wednesday we begin blowing Shofar each morning after davening, and begin reciting three chapters of Tehillim per day, concluding on Yom Kippur. It is customary to check Tefillin and Mezuzas during the month of Elul, if this hasn't been done recently.
