The current CTEEN events are dedicated in loving memory of Zavi Olive
About Zavi Olive:
Avraham Zev (Zavi) Olive was born on Shabbat Hagadol, 10 Nissan, 5749 (1989). To his loving parents, Moshe Zalman and Miriam Golda Olive, and four older sisters: Devorah, Denise, Leah, and Sarah Malkah.
Even as a young boy, Zavi displayed tremendous talent. He had a natural flair for music, dance, and art. Yet, he was plagued by terrible challenges from which he would never be able to shake free.
Despite the disease that he battled to the end, Zavi genuinely celebrated others’ good fortune and never bemoaned his lot or asked “why me?”
His infectious smile would light up the world, his warmth brought comfort, and his signature concern and interest could change anyone’s mood.
After a brave and prolonged struggle, Zavi passed away on Shabbat, 18 (Chai) Tevet, 5774. He was brought to rest in Har Hazeitim (Mount of Olives), overlooking the site of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem.
