At Lubavitch Chabad of Skokie, we are committed to providing a meaningful Shabbat experience for all our congregants, including children. Our Shabbat Kid’s Club is designed to make shul-going enjoyable for parents and kids alike.

Our Kids Room is outfitted with a broad array of games, toys and books geared to all ages and interests.

We use the exclusive kid-tested and educator-approved CKIDS curriculum! Every Shabbat, the counselors bring in colorful and exciting games, activities, and songs. Our group leaders are prepared to engage the kids in relevant ways and with fresh and exciting well-designed material each week.

The Shabbat morning schedule begins with directed “free” play. Children are encouraged to connect with each other across all age ranges. This mixed environment allows them to develop relationships with their shul friends in a family-like manner, and everyone learns and benefits from each other’s' company. Children then separate into groups by age. Each group’s programming is carefully planned to engage children at their level of interest. After group time, there is more free play.

We are sure that your children will love joining in with our many fun activities. Please support and encourage them to join their groups, or to accompany you into shul, so they are not drifting around the building unattended.

The schedule/locations of groups are listed below. Please note that your children are welcome and encouraged to join you in Shul and davening at any time.

All Ages in Kids Room

Our kids’ room is supplied with a great selection of games, toys, and books to suit a range of ages. Our warm staff ensures that children are engaged and happy. We supervise the transition of the kids to their respective rooms when group time begins. If your family’s Shabbat morning pace is more leisurely, and your child is not at shul by 10:30 when all of the kids are brought to their rooms, you may take your child to his or her respective room by yourself. Please respect the decorum of the classroom and knock on the door, and make sure the teacher is aware that you are dropping off your child, and able to incorporate him/her into the activities
