Outdoor, open-to-the-public Shofar blowing meets in Skokie on Rosh Hashanah. Please note that attending services at Shul is ideal.
The Rohr Jewish Learning Institute brings authentic, relevant Jewish learning to adults seeking intellectual and spiritual growth.
The added expense of Yom Tov is too much for some in our community, right here in Skokie.
Erev Yom Kippur
It is customary to perform the kaparot (symbolic "atonement") rite in preparation for Yom Kippur. Some do it with money, and then give the money to charity.
