The Dilemma: In this course, you will get to see the fascinating ways that civil law and Jewish law intersect. 

You will personally experience the nature of the deliberations that stand behind a ruling of a Bet Din, a Rabbinic court of Jewish law, and gain insight while delving into the Torah’s ethical and legal teachings on interesting and tricky cases.

The situations examined in this course werereal, modern, and relevant. From self-driving cars, theft, and drones to virtual reality games like Pokemon GO, the classes investigate and challenge commonly perspectives on privacy, liability, and a range of moral and ethical situations that we encounter on a regular basis in 2017.

The newest (and most fascinating!) fun six-week course from the Jewish Learning Institute, and explore real-life ethical dilemmas, using age-old Talmudic wisdom.

 

The class was taught at four convenient times to suit your schedule:
Option 1: Six Sunday mornings, starting Sunday, January 29, 2017, 10:30am-12:00pm
Option 2: Six Sunday evenings, starting Sunday, January 29, 2017, 7:00pm-8:30pm
Option 3: Six Thursday mornings, starting Thursday, February 2, 2017, 10:30am-12:00pm
Option 4: Six Thursday evenings, starting Thursday, February 2, 2017, 8:00pm-9:30p
The Sunday classes meet every Sunday, from 1/29/2017 through 3/19/2017. However these classes don’t meet on 2/26/2016, and on 3/12/2017.

The Thursday classes met every Thursday, from 2/2/2017 through 3/23/2017. However these classes didn't meet on 2/23/2016, and on 3/9/2017.
