Sara Basya Brocha Weiss is a senior at Ida Crown Jewish Academy. Her proud parents are Yehoshua and Tova Weiss. Sara plays many active leadership roles in her community and is a role model to her peers. She is a Senior Leader to freshmen, manager of the ICJA Girls’ Varsity basketball team and captain of the ICJA Mathletes team. She enjoys hanging out with her friends and meeting new people at CTeen. She has served four terms on Skokie Cteen’s board, including three terms as president. She was recently selected by her classmates for this year’s "Yehudi Hatov" award in recognition of her inspiring devotion to Judaism and her passion of sharing it with others.  She looks forward to taking the skills and inspiration she has gained at Skokie Cteen with her to Israel next year, where she will be studying Torah at Michlelet Mevaseret Yerushalayim, and on to Stern College, Yeshiva University in New York the next fall.

David Samuel Zafrir was born in Skokie, Illinois to parents Aviv and Yelana Zafrir. David is in eighth grade at Mccracken Junior High and was his school’s spelling bee champion this year.  Next year he will attend Niles North High School. David completed Skokie Chabad Hebrew School and celebrated his Bar Mitzvah at Lubavitch Chabad of Skokie, and continues to nurture his Jewish soul at Cteen Junior. David is an avid foodie and a gourmet cook, and he has been excited to share his dishes with family. David is a mature & responsible big brother to his younger siblings Eva, age 10, and Michael, age 5. David is excited and thankful to be an honoree of the Cteen Gala. As he continues to grow he is glad that Cteen will be a part of his journey.
