What is the Cteen Gala?
The Cteen Gala is a special evening honoring some remarkable teens, and highlighting the various programs and services that Skokie Cteen offers to Jewish teens in Skokie.
About Cteen:
At Cteen, we have created a warm and wholesome environment for Jewish teens.
Cteen is the place for kids to socialize, relax, and connect with other Jewish teens, while experiencing Judaism in a relevant and stimulating fashion. We welcome teens for innovative, exciting events and relevant programming based on authentic Torah wisdom including weekly meetings, monthly Shabbat dinners, occasional trips, Jtext trivia, high school clubs, and opportunities to volunteer and do for others.
Cteen fosters confident Jewish identity , and helps Jewish youth appreciate the richness of their beautiful traditions. By supporting each teen where they are and by building strong relationships, Cteen is nurturing the Jewish leaders of tomorrow
Cteen is for high school boys and girls.
Cteen Junior is for boys and girls in grades 6-8.
About Jew Crew:
Jewish Association Of Students at Niles North is also called Jew Crew.
This school club is a place for Jewish teens to explore their religious heritage, and to encourage each other to learn about their faith, as well as to practice and to provide a safe place to discuss issue and topics of specific relevance to the Jewish faith. This club also is a resource to educate non-Jews as well as Jews about Judaism, with the hopes of reducing Antisemitism, and is inclusive and open to all students of all religious backgrounds.
Jew Crew meets several times a month for discussions and creative activities.
Jew Crew is cosponsored by Ms. Elizabeth Shay and Rabbi Yochanan Posner, and is associated with Skokie Cteen.
