Honoring the Memory of the Souls we lost on October 7
In the memory of the victims of October 7, we have a new memorial Bima cover inscribed with the names of every one of our brothers and sisters who were mercilessly taken from us last year. This beautiful cover includes the verse הַרְנִ֤ינוּ גוֹיִם֙ עַמּ֔וֹ כִּ֥י דַם־עֲבָדָ֖יו יִקּ֑וֹם... וְכִפֶּ֥ר אַדְמָת֖וֹ עַמּֽוֹ "One day all the nations of the world will lift us up, those that suffered will be avenged, and those that oppress us will be no more". Central to the design is a flame motif, representative of the soul, formed out of the Hebrew letters of “May G‑d avenge their blood”. After Yizkor when everyone returns into Shul we will recite a special memorial Tefilla in their honor.
The Memorial Cover will remain on the Bima as we celebrate Simchas Torah with Hakafos and joyous dancing around the bima, including the memory of these holy souls in our celebration of the Torah, and in their merit. CLICK HERE TO VIEW THE ENTIRE SIMCHAS TORAH SCHEDULE.
