Jewish Youth House Report

JLI TEENS GETS OFF TO A GREAT START!
Skokie high school boys and girls came together to learn and discuss real-life issues. This past week we discussed how Torah law and secular law differ at their very foundation.  .We took some actual legal cases and examined the differences between secular law and the Torah law.

The lesson structure allows each student to review real news stories and share views and opinions on each case. Students rendered judgment on these real-life scenarios and then considered what ancient Judaism says about those modern-day dilemmas.

Join us this week as we discuss:"If one steals in order to save a life, is he responsible to pay?" this Monday, 7:30 p.m. at the Mooz.

GIRLS KIDDUSH CONTINUES
Following up on last week’s successful Kiddush, we will have Kiddush again this week after davening at the Mooz for all girls 6th grade and up.
