From our Online Magazine
Here are some things to remember for the upcoming Festival:
· There will be all night Torah study the first night of Shavuos, which occurs this year on next Saturday night.
· The Lubavitcher Rebbe encourages children, even very young ones, to be present at the reading of the Ten Commandments on Shavous. Sunday morning of Shavuos there will be a program for children with special prizes for those who are present at 10:00 a.m
· There will be an elegant Dairy Kiddush after davening on Sunday, beginning at about 11:30 a.m., with lasagna, cheesecake, and other delicious foods (some will be pareve). This is a great opportunity for sponsorship.
There will be a concert for women featuring Sara Hecht on June 7, at Lubavitch Chabad of Skokie. Sara is an Australian-born singer and songwriter with a unique vocal talent. Having traveled extensively, her songs are inspired by the lives and loves of Jewish women worldwide.
