Life on the Line

The new JLI Teen course begins this week too! This JLI Teen course engages students in a thought-provoking and engaging journey with some of life’s ethical challenges. The lesson structure is built to allow each student to review real-life news stories and share their views and opinions on each case. Students will render judgment on these real-life scenarios and then consider what ancient Judaism says about those modern-day dilemmas.

Exciting Kiddush News

We are excited to be starting a new all-girls kiddush this week! The girls of 6th grade and higher will be having their own Kiddush each week after davening, in the Mooz, with some special cuisine added to the kiddush food and a whole lot of spirit!

This allows for more seating in the Kiddush room, and alleviates some of the seating crisis. We will miss the girls, though.

Shul Family Album

Do you know the name of the person you stand next to each week in shul? How about that nice fellow you sit next to at the Kiddush?

In the interest of strengthening our shul family and getting to know our shul friends better, we are renewing our plan to compile a comprehensive shul album with family photos, to help us all connect in a more tangible way. The album will be in a private corner on our website.

Please submit current pictures either by email to [email protected] or by snail mail to Lubavitch Chabad of Skokie, 4059 Dempster St., Skokie, IL 60076.

NEW! JLI Teens to Start This Week:
