4) RESERVATIONS FOR SIMCHAS TORAH
A flyer is in the mail for our annual communal Seudas Yom Tov on Simchas Torah. This lunch is by reservation ONLY. We have taken careful notes over the past years and have many great ideas to make this event even better. If you wish to attend, reserve on our website, here or by return e-mail.
We thank the volunteers who helped out in the Kid’s Room on Yom Kipur: Beth Herst, Wendy Kaplan, Galya Lapson. Chaya Phillips, Yona Posner, Zeesy Posner, Ellen Rashkow, Rochel Tatelbaum. Thank you to Rivka Orenstein for going above and beyond the call of duty.
We thank in advance our Sukos volunteers: Wendy Kaplan, Galya Lapson, Zeesy Posner Rivkie Raices and Mushkie Raices,.
We are looking for hosts for farbrengens on Sukos. If you want to reserve a day, our calendar is ready. The first and second days are spoken for.
7) BRING CHEER TO NURSING HOMES
We need volunteers to visit nursing homes on Sukkos to visit with residents and share some of the holiday spirit. This is a great family outing, and a chance to show your children the importance of kindness to the disadvantaged. It is also a rewarding trip, as you will enable residents to bentsch Lulav and Esrog. Please speak to Menachem Posner.
Your children need volunteers to help supervise in the Kids Room on Shmini Atzeres and Simchas Torah. Rivka Orenstein will not be here so your help is especially important. Please speak to Mrs. Zeesy Posner.
Please visit Mark Muller. You can call 847-673-2676 to make up a time. We continue to recite Tehillim for him (Chaim Meir Yaakov Alter ben Pesl) every morning after davening. May he have a Refuah Shelaima u’Krovah!
