He went and created laws to prevail
That clung to His path and would lead to His way,
To give clear direction to continue a life
That He would provide and we could sustain.
But life by its nature will both come and go
Sometime it hurries and sometime it slows;
And the length of a life, no one might know
Except for the Master who created us all.
So the Master now put, high in the sky,
The sun to rule day and the moon to rule night,
To measure for us the time that goes by
Of how long we’ll live and when we must die.
