The entire world is made of strings
That vibrate as the violin sings,
Creating stars and lovers’ sighs,
Infusing beauty in our lives.

The waves respond to throbbing winds;
And souls no doubt will also sing
In resonance to what they find -
Be it light or eagles’ wings.

The beauty which we hear and see,
That reverberates with you and me,
Is nothing more than all those strings,
Creating wondrous harmonies.

But within the music that we make
Notes can sound with dissonance,
Since all the conflicts we have made,
Can leave our lives a bit unstrung.

Strings can sometimes be too taut
Creating noise a bit too high
And tunes will sometime lose their way
Because of notes that went astray.

But wayward strings and melodies
Can be retuned to sweeter paths,
If we but seek their harmony
And leave the clatter in the past.

So listen close to all around
And find a way to resonate
With all the beauty that you feel
And all the beauty we create.

Through our lives the Fiddler bows,
So we can find a song to love
Which once it’s merged in symphony
Completes the music He’d begun.
